Standard Issue: 1942 is a series of products designed and built as if they were pieces of World War II era military equipment. They are not reproductions of existing equipment, but innovations from the perspective of a product designer amidst the war effort in 1942.

Products in the Standard Issue: 1942 series are proudly hand crafted in the United States. We are so confident in the build quality that we offer a lifetime warranty. Should one of our products fail under normal use, send it back and it will be repaired or replaced.
In an effort to express our gratitude towards all active and retired service members, 5% of Standard Issue: 1942 revenue is donated to the Hope for the Warriors foundation.

While this project casts a positive light on the innovation, perseverance, and triumph that took place during the Second World War, we believe it is extremely important to recognize the seriousness of the topic. World War II was one of the most horrific tragedies to ever befall the globe. May we never forget the lessons this conflict taught us, or take the freedoms we have as a result for granted.
My name is TJ Schwarz and I am the creator of the Standard Issue: 1942 series. The concept of a product line that draws influence from the World War II era is very exciting to me. From a young age I developed a serious interest in the conflict and enjoyed watching and reading any related material I could get my hands on.

As a custom knife maker and designer, I have become familiar with metal working equipment and modern manufacturing technology. I am also fortunate to have my father, a western saddle maker, to look to for assistance in developing the leather components of the series. With help from him and others, I intend to create products that are interesting, affordable, and entirely American Made.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy this project. Please reach out if you would like to know more.
